(VOVWORLD) -  The 7th National External Information Service Awards was launched at a press conference in Hanoi on Monday.

A press conference is held at VOV's headquarters in Hanoi on April 19, 2021, to launch the 7th National External Information Service Awards.

The Voice of Vietnam (VOV) serves as the standing agency for the Awards which honors the best media and publication works relating to external information. 

“After 6 years, the National External Information Service Awards has justified its growing reputation, become a forum for Vietnamese and foreign journalists to share professional experience, and created an opportunity for external information service workers to make full use of their creativity, said Mr. Bui Truong Giang, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications and Education and chief organizer of the Awards.

"It has also become an effective channel to promote Vietnam’s land, people, and culture,” said Mr. Giang.

Submissions to the 7th National External Information Service Awards may be in Vietnamese or a foreign language. Categories include print newspaper story, online newspaper story, news website story, radio broadcast, TV broadcast, photo, book, video clip, or idea, innovation, or product.

Entries must be published in Vietnam or abroad between July 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021. The winners will be announced at the end of August, 2021.
