A dossier comprises:
- Original passport;
- Application form for visa-free (self-reported online and copyingunder the guidance at: http://mienthithucvk.mofa.gov.vn);
- 02 recent photographs, size 4 x 6 cm, straight face and bare head, white background;
- A proof of the origin of Vietnam (passport or identity card of Vietnam, Vietnam birth, voter card, household registration book, registration and registration of citizens to hold citizenshipcertification Embassy of Vietnam, the certificate of theAssociation of Vietnam in Austria, etc.);

What is visa?

In Vietnam, the visa is granted to foreigners who can distinguish the following types:

1. Tourist Visa: valid 30 days from the date of entry, usually granted to tourists, are entitled to one entry and exit through the international border. Can be extended if there is good reason.

2.. Visa commercial: valid from 90 days to 180 days from the date of entry, usually granted to foreigners doing business or seeking investment opportunities, the right to exit several times over the international border . Can be extended if there is good reason.

3. Temporary residence permit: valid for one year from the date of entry, usually granted to foreigners coming to work or invest regularly, the right of entry across the international border. Can be extended if there is good reason.

Vietnamese citizens entering the water want to contact a representative office Embassy or Consulate of that country at the nearest place to apply for entry visa to that country. The first is you must have a passport issued by Vietnam government before applying for this visa.

 

What is Passport?

Passport Vietnam today can be divided into 03 types:

A. Passports (Popular Passport) is available to all Vietnamese citizens, have permanent residence and identity card holder, have full civil rights. Passport valid for 05 years from the date of issuance, be entitled to all countries. The holder of this passport upon entry at the international border to normal through the aisles and can be visa-free entry under the provisions of the country of destination. The study or exit settlers also use ordinary passports.

Two. Official passports (Official Passport) are issued to government officials abroad because of the state civil service. Passport valid for 05 years from the date of issuance, be entitled to all countries. This passport holder priority over the special port entry and priority visa-free entry under the provisions of the destination countries.

3. Hộ Chiếu Ngoại Giao (Diplomatic Passport): được cấp cho các quan chức ngoại giao của chính phủ đi nước ngoài công tác. Hộ chiếu có giá trị trong vòng 05 năm kể từ ngày cấp, được quyền đến tất cả các nước. Người cầm hộ chiếu này có quyền ưu tiên qua các cổng ưu tiên đặc biệt khi nhập cảnh và được ưu tiên miễn visa nhập cảnh theo qui định của nước đến.
